The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Chargers reached some 57 spots for Seth McLaughlin, and value like that does not grow back.

The Gordon II value carries more weight than any single miss elsewhere. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the interior defensive lineman spot they never got to.
