The Chargers did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Smael Mondon Jr. fell into Round 6, Pick 23. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Reaching for Powell-Ryland left real value on the table behind him. That quarterback hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

The Chargers clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but quarterback.
