FutureB-
The Bears found their guy under center in Williams: B. They finally answered the question that shadows every other one. Caleb Williams is the Bears' quarterback, full stop. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.
The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.
The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In the 1st overall pick they get their quarterback of the future. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick13
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In Round 1, Pick 13 they get a disruptor off the edge at fair value. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick44
Rnd2
Keon Coleman
By-the-book stuff, Keon Coleman at No. 44 squarely in line with his ranking. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick75
Rnd3
Blake Fisher
A clean, defensible pick in pick No. 75 with a little surplus value in Blake Fisher. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick122
Rnd4
Jarrian Jones
They paid sticker price for Jarrian Jones in slot 122, and that is fine. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick229
Rnd7
Bub Means
Bub Means at pick 229 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
