The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Lions reached some 53 spots for Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and value like that does not grow back.

On value alone, Corley makes the weekend a net positive. Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They went 6 of 9 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
