A costly weekend of dealing drags the Bears to a C-. The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill.
For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. They are betting Powers-Johnson proves the room right and everyone else wrong. If one pick saves this weekend, it is Shipley.
The Antoine Winfield Jr. deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.
So much rides on Brock Bowers that the real verdict is a season or two away.
