The Packers let Baker fall and pounced. Final grade: B+.

The trade table was a mismatch, and the Packers were on the right end of it, hauling in a fortune in surplus value. It does the job without flash, and the B+ reflects it.

A whole weekend of picks and edge rusher is somehow still a want. It is not that Stover is a bad player; it is that the Packers had louder needs to answer first. They banked enough surplus on Baker to cover a lot of smaller sins.

They went 6 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.
