A solid, sensible weekend for the 49ers: B-.

The weekend has a hole in the middle of it named running back, a need the 49ers walked right past.

Reaching for Murdock left real value on the table behind him. Royer at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
