The Jaguars cashed the board's mistake on Rice: B.

It is a puzzling start. The Jaguars had interior defensive lineman, linebacker and other spots to solve and reached instead for Kris Jenkins, an edge rusher, at the Round 2 slot. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The Rice steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
