Draft Grade — Raiders
Overall B
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureD-
The Raiders finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B.

The Raiders spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Caleb Banks, the No. 27 name on the board, in Round 4, Pick 2.

Fernando Mendoza is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own.

For all the activity, wide receiver went untouched, which is hard to explain.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but wide receiver.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Fernando Mendoza
A straight-up fair deal on Fernando Mendoza at the 2nd overall pick, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick16 Rnd1 Kadyn Proctor
In the Round 1 slot they get a building block for the line. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick20 Rnd1 Jermod McCoy
In the Round 1 slot they get a lockdown presence outside, and a steal at that. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick36 Rnd2 Anthony Hill Jr.
They did well to land Anthony Hill Jr. in slot 36, just ahead of his grade. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick67 Rnd3 Caleb Tiernan
Caleb Tiernan in No. 67 lands just on the right side of the ledger. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick102 Rnd4 Caleb Banks
They will replay Caleb Banks at the 102nd overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick117 Rnd4 Connor Lew
Connor Lew in pick No. 117 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick134 Rnd4 Skyler Gill-Howard
Skyler Gill-Howard at the 134th pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick180 Rnd6 Jalon Daniels
They paid up for Jalon Daniels at Round 6, Pick 1 when waiting would have done the job. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick183 Rnd6 Kyle Louis
You do not let a linebacker like Kyle Louis reach pick 183 and blink. They did not. Insurance at a position that did not really ask for it.
