The rest of the league will want that one back. DJ Giddens tumbling to the Browns in Round 6, Pick 39 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. Call it a sensible B+, earned the boring way.

Reaching for McLaughlin left real value on the table behind him. The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Quarterback is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
