Maye is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a D.

Every swap seemed to tilt away from the Bears, and the value they bled adds up to real damage. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

So much rides on Drake Maye that the rest of the class almost grades on a curve behind him. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. If Robinson pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about.

Adding Gerald Everett by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, linebacker very much included.
