The phones were a trap the Bears kept walking into, shipping out surplus on nearly every deal. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They are betting Van Pran proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

James at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, edge rusher very much included.
