The 49ers put a flag in the ground for Gabe Hall, 90 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. The bottom line is a respectable B-.

Johnson falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. With running back, quarterback and other spots unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
