Somebody in the 82nd overall pick was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Browns sat still while Keith Abney II, the No. 45 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

The edge rusher spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Reaching for Wilson left real value on the table behind him. The Jalen Nailor deal gives the class an established piece to lean on.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
