Harris should have been long gone. The Broncos pounced, and earned a B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Tre Harris tumbling to the Broncos in pick No. 190 is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

They will need Mellott to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving linebacker unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

The skill positions did well by the weekend.

Bottom line, more hits than misses and a roster nudged the right way.
