Draft Grade — Bills
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
The Bills did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B-.

The Bills put a flag in the ground for Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, 222 picks before anyone else would have, and the value took the hit. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B-.

Landing McMillan that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

Linebacker was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.

Pick Analysis
Pick30 Rnd1 Tetairoa McMillan
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Tetairoa McMillan in the 30th pick, plain and simple. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick56 Rnd2 Xavier Watts
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Xavier Watts at pick No. 56. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick62 Rnd2 Darien Porter
They paid a round early for Darien Porter in the Round 2 slot, more than the board wanted. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick109 Rnd4 Joshua Farmer
They went early on Joshua Farmer in the 109th overall pick, and the value did not follow. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick132 Rnd4 Emery Jones Jr.
Emery Jones Jr. at slot 132 is a sensible buy, a touch better than market for the offensive lineman. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick169 Rnd5 Dorian Strong
Fair-plus on Dorian Strong, a quiet win that adds up over a draft. Nice player, but the depth chart did not need him here.
Pick170 Rnd5 Clay Webb
A conviction pick on Clay Webb at No. 170 that the board grades a round light. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick173 Rnd5 Teddye Buchanan
Teddye Buchanan at Round 5, Pick 35 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick177 Rnd6 Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins well ahead of where he belonged. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick206 Rnd6 Jordan Watkins
Jordan Watkins at pick No. 206 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
