Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a C- for the Bears.

The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Caleb Williams, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

They lost the exchange badly enough to drag the whole class down. Every board in the league had Smith lower, and that gap is the story. That running back hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

If Caleb Williams and a couple of the gambles land, hindsight will be kinder than this grade.
