The Bills did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B.

Somebody in No. 175 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bills sat still while Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 110 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

If Travis pans out, nobody remembers the price. If not, this is the pick they hear about. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The roster is better shaped than it was, with linebacker chief among the fixes.

They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
