Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall A-
ValueB+ NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Best value of the weekend goes to the Ravens for Edwards: A-.

Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Ravens were there to profit. Daijun Edwards, the No. 205 name on the board, should have been long gone before pick No. 250. Very little went wrong, and the A- is earned.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

Bottom line, with Keon Coleman leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.

Pick Analysis
Pick62 Rnd2 Keon Coleman
They will replay Keon Coleman at pick 62 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick93 Rnd3 Cam Hart
Cam Hart at No. 93 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick129 Rnd4 Javon Foster
A tidy bit of business in the Round 4 slot, where Javon Foster graded well above the range. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick134 Rnd4 Beau Brade
They took Beau Brade at par in slot 134, which is nothing to complain about. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick178 Rnd6 Malik Mustapha
A safety of that caliber at the 178th pick is the definition of value, full stop. They doubled down on a strength rather than a need.
Pick228 Rnd7 Garret Greenfield
They let Garret Greenfield come to them and pounced at Round 7, Pick 8. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick250 Rnd7 Daijun Edwards
Daijun Edwards in the 250th overall pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
