The Cowboys landed square in the muddy middle: C+.

Priorities are a choice, and the Cowboys made a strange one, taking R Mason Thomas at edge rusher in the 21st overall pick with quarterback, tight end and other spots crying out for the pick instead. Fine in stretches, shaky in others: a C+.

For all the activity, quarterback went untouched, which is hard to explain. Landing Campbell that late papers over a lot of smaller sins.

Reaching for Overton left real value on the table behind him.

It nets out as a middle-of-the-pack haul that neither helps nor hurts much.
