The Broncos bet the future on McCarthy. The board says B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Broncos spent their marquee pick on J.J. McCarthy, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. That Johnson pick is the receipt they will wave around later.

They are betting McCarthy proves the room right and everyone else wrong.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
