The Patriots drew a line under the quarterback search with Daniels: B-.

The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Patriots spent their marquee pick on Jayden Daniels, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback.

On value alone, Simpson makes the weekend a net positive. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.

Wide receiver is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
