The 49ers lost the trade table, and the D- tells the story.

Call it a hunch or call it a gamble, but the 49ers spent Round 5, Pick 24 on Erick All, a name most had 42 spots down the list. The board pushed back all weekend, and the D- is the result.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. With quarterback unsolved, spending premium capital on cornerback is the choice that costs them. They punted on quarterback, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.

The Rosengarten pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and quarterback is still a hole.
