This is the pick they will still be bragging about in July: Michael Taaffe, the No. 120 name on the board, stolen at the 157th pick. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They will answer for taking specialist early while edge rusher, tight end and other spots went begging. The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
