FutureA
The Saints found their guy under center in Moore: B. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Saints spent their marquee pick on Dante Moore, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.
For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.
The trades cost them a sliver of value they did not need to spend.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick4
Rnd1
Dante Moore
In the 4th overall pick they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Pick37
Rnd2
Jake Slaughter
A clean, defensible pick in slot 37 with a little surplus value in Jake Slaughter. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick68
Rnd3
Antonio Williams
Antonio Williams in the 68th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
