Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall
B+
ValueB

FutureA
The Dolphins won the night they stopped Golday from sliding. Grade: B+. You build a draft on nights like this. Jake Golday had no business being available in the 90th overall pick, and the Dolphins did the only sane thing and turned in the card.
Roberts has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The dealing nudged the ledger their way without much fuss.
In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
Pick Analysis
Pick26
Rnd1
Sonny Styles
In the 26th overall pick they get a three-down second-level presence. A real need, handled.
Pick59
Rnd2
Dillon Thieneman
Dillon Thieneman in the 59th pick is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick69
Rnd3
Eli Stowers
Eli Stowers at Round 3, Pick 5 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick75
Rnd3
Malachi Fields
Nothing to complain about; Malachi Fields went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick87
Rnd3
Keionte Scott
A cornerback of that caliber at pick No. 87 is the definition of value, full stop. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick90
Rnd3
Jake Golday
Jake Golday at No. 90 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick91
Rnd3
Jaeden Roberts
The board screamed and they did not listen, reaching into the next round for Jaeden Roberts. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick111
Rnd4
Caden Curry
A clean, defensible pick in slot 111 with a little surplus value in Caden Curry. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick126
Rnd4
J.C. Davis
They did well to land J.C. Davis in the Round 4 slot, just ahead of his grade. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick149
Rnd5
Domani Jackson
Domani Jackson at Round 5, Pick 11 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A luxury on a unit that was already in good shape.
Pick227
Rnd7
Miller Moss
A market-rate quarterback, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Miller Moss. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick244
Rnd7
Zavion Thomas
A top-tier wide receiver at a bargain, Zavion Thomas in No. 244, plain and simple. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
