Somehow the biggest item on the list survived the weekend. The Titans never addressed running back, and it is the kind of gap that lingers. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

The Neal pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. On the needs board they went 5 of 8, with offensive lineman the one that mattered most.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

KC Concepcion at slot 33 is neither steal nor reach, just the going rate. A need, and now a little less of one.

Deontae Lawson at the 65th overall pick is right where the board had him, plain and simple. It patches a soft spot without any drama.

They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Julian Neal in the Round 4 slot. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
