Larceny in pick No. 171 lands the Cowboys a B+, Royals and all.

You could see the war room lean forward. Jalen Royals at Round 5, Pick 33 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. A whole weekend of picks and cornerback is somehow still a want.

They will answer for taking edge rusher early while cornerback and tight end went begging. Adding Josh Downs by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
