Jaydin2010 DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Seahawks
Overall
B
ValueA-
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
Hartford should have been long gone. The Seahawks pounced, and earned a B. You build a draft on nights like this. Malik Hartford had no business being available in Round 5, Pick 12, and the Seahawks did the only sane thing and turned in the card. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B.
Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The White pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.
The roster is better shaped than it was, with offensive lineman chief among the fixes.
In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the edge rusher spot they never got to.
Pick Analysis
Pick11
Rnd1
Roderick Kearney
In Round 1, Pick 11 they get a building block for the line. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick43
Rnd2
Shamar Easter
Value with a capital V on Shamar Easter in the 43rd overall pick, a genuine coup. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick75
Rnd3
Cade Klubnik
They barely believed it either: Cade Klubnik still on the board at pick 75. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick111
Rnd4
Josh Moten
Circle this one: Josh Moten at the Round 4 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Depth more than a fix, but depth they can use.
Pick150
Rnd5
Malik Hartford
A top-tier safety at a bargain, Malik Hartford in slot 150, plain and simple. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick180
Rnd6
Dante Moore
Dante Moore in pick No. 180 is a gift, value that borders on unfair. It plugs a real leak on the depth chart.
Pick189
Rnd6
Jahiem White
Value said wait; Jahiem White in No. 189 says they were not listening. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
