Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall

FutureB-
More right than wrong for the Ravens, and a B- to prove it. They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Cade Denhoff, 255 picks early at the 172nd overall pick. A dependable weekend that grades out a B-.
The Muhammad pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged. A whole weekend of picks and quarterback is somehow still a want.
Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The offense got the lion's share of the attention.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick31
Rnd1
Jeremiyah Love
In pick No. 31 they get a lead back with juice, outstanding value to boot. A real need, handled.
Pick63
Rnd2
Malik Muhammad
Somehow Malik Muhammad was still sitting there in the 63rd overall pick, and they pounced on premier cornerback value. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick95
Rnd3
Charles Jagusah
Charles Jagusah in Round 3, Pick 31 is early enough to raise a brow, if not a full objection. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick131
Rnd4
Kage Casey
Kage Casey in slot 131 is exactly on the number, no argument either way. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick143
Rnd5
Jalen Thompson
A wild overpay on Jalen Thompson in the Round 5 slot, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. It fills a real need, too.
Pick170
Rnd5
Bear Alexander
Bear Alexander in pick 170 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick172
Rnd5
Cade Denhoff
Cade Denhoff at slot 172 is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick175
Rnd5
Trebor Pena
A market-rate wide receiver, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Trebor Pena. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick244
Rnd7
Michael Trigg
Value said wait; Michael Trigg in the 244th overall pick says they were not listening. The roster fit checks out.
Pick246
Rnd7
Ethan Onianwa
They took Ethan Onianwa at par in the 246th pick, which is nothing to complain about. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
