There is reaching, and then there is Bear Alexander at slot 172. The Ravens jumped the board by 36 and dared it to prove them wrong.

That is a tight end worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through quarterback.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. They trusted the board more than the depth chart.

Add it up and it is a good, unfussy class.
