Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B-

The Ravens drew a line under the quarterback search with Klubnik: B-.

The move everyone will second-guess came early. The Ravens reached some 125 spots for Mycah Pittman, and value like that does not grow back. Good, not great, and the B- says as much.

The whole projection now runs through Cade Klubnik; hit there and everything else looks smarter. Klubnik falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Cade Klubnik
In pick 31 they get a passer to set the clock by, outstanding value to boot.
Pick63 Rnd2 Makhi Hughes
Makhi Hughes at the Round 2 slot is money in the bank, a running back taken below his worth. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick95 Rnd3 Charles Jagusah
They paid up for Charles Jagusah at Round 3, Pick 31 when waiting would have done the job. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick131 Rnd4 DJ Campbell
DJ Campbell at the 131st pick is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick143 Rnd5 Tristan Leigh
A real head-scratcher, Tristan Leigh in pick No. 143 is miles ahead of his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick170 Rnd5 Bear Alexander
Bear Alexander at No. 170 is the pick scouts circle, and not in a good way. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick172 Rnd5 Ricardo Hallman
Ricardo Hallman at pick No. 172 is a conviction pick that outran the value. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick175 Rnd5 Khalil Barnes
A clean, defensible pick in Round 5, Pick 37 with a little surplus value in Khalil Barnes. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick244 Rnd7 Korey Foreman
Korey Foreman at the 244th pick is a steep price for a hunch, hard to square with any board. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick246 Rnd7 Mycah Pittman
Mycah Pittman at the Round 7 slot is the kind of overdraft that needs everything to break right. A need, and now a little less of one.
