Draft Grade — Ravens
Overall B
ValueA+ NeedB TradesB- FutureB-
Klubnik is the Ravens' new face under center. Grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Deontae Lawson tumbling to the Ravens in pick No. 246 is a gift they did not have to think twice about. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They have staked the next five years on Cade Klubnik, which is the only story that really matters here. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through tight end. They left with cornerback solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.

Pick Analysis
Pick31 Rnd1 Cade Klubnik
In pick 31 they get the arm they will build around, and a steal at that.
Pick63 Rnd2 Spencer Fano
Somehow Spencer Fano was still sitting there in the 63rd overall pick, and they pounced on premier offensive lineman value. That was the need underlined and circled, and now it is checked off.
Pick95 Rnd3 Cayden Green
Steal is underselling it; Cayden Green at the Round 3 slot is a heist with the alarm still ringing. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick131 Rnd4 Zane Durant
Zane Durant at pick 131 is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick143 Rnd5 Dani Dennis-Sutton
Dani Dennis-Sutton at Round 5, Pick 5 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick170 Rnd5 Nicholas Singleton
Nicholas Singleton in No. 170 should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. The roster fit checks out.
Pick172 Rnd5 Eric Singleton Jr.
They will replay Eric Singleton Jr. at slot 172 for years; that is how good the value is. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick175 Rnd5 Jermod McCoy
The board fumbled Jermod McCoy all the way to the 175th pick, and they scooped it up. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick244 Rnd7 Michael Taaffe
Taking Michael Taaffe in the 244th overall pick is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick246 Rnd7 Deontae Lawson
Circle this one: Deontae Lawson at pick No. 246 is a fall that decides a draft. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
