Draft Grade — Panthers
Overall
B
ValueB-
NeedA
TradesB-
FutureB-
A sensible, unshowy class lands the Panthers a B. The one they had to fix is still broken. The Panthers left cornerback untouched, and that omission hangs over an otherwise reasonable haul.
They will need Jackson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
Pick Analysis
Pick8
Rnd1
Tetairoa McMillan
In the Round 1 slot they get a true top target. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick57
Rnd2
Donovan Jackson
A premium they did not need to pay, Donovan Jackson a notch or two before his time. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick74
Rnd3
Kyle Kennard
A straight-up fair deal on Kyle Kennard at pick 74, value and slot in agreement. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
