Call it larceny. Jack Nelson sat on the board until the 215th overall pick, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice. It does the job without flash, and the B reflects it.

Reaching for Conner left real value on the table behind him. Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same. They went 8 of 8 on their needs, which is most of what a draft is for.

They bet on numbers rather than a single high pick.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
