You build a draft on nights like this. D'Angelo Ponds had no business being available in pick 82, and the Vikings did the only sane thing and turned in the card. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They are betting Washington Jr. proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Job largely done: safety settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
