The steal of the weekend belongs to the 49ers and Belton: B+. The 49ers spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Anthony Belton, the No. 120 name on the board, in pick No. 228. A dependable weekend that grades out a B+.
The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Myles Garrett chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Spend now, pay later; the math only works if this class delivers.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
