The 49ers turned the phones into found money: B+.

The 49ers did not so much draft Luke Lachey as overpay for him, 43 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

The veteran additions, Ivan Pace Jr. chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
