Larceny in pick No. 59 lands the Ravens a D, Emmanwori and all.

There was a run on nobody at that position, and the Ravens started one anyway for Isaac TeSlaa, 30 picks ahead of schedule.

The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The Emmanwori steal is the beam this whole class leans on.

Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, cornerback very much included.

Pick Analysis
Pick27 Rnd1 Donovan Ezeiruaku
In Round 1, Pick 27 they get a problem off the edge, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick55 Rnd2 Carson Schwesinger
A reach on Carson Schwesinger in the 55th pick; the board had better options right there. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick59 Rnd2 Nick Emmanwori
Taking Nick Emmanwori in pick No. 59 is close to grand larceny; a safety that good had no business lasting this long. Not urgent, but hardly pointless.
Pick91 Rnd3 Wyatt Milum
Wyatt Milum in the Round 3 slot should not have been possible, and that is the whole point. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick129 Rnd4 Ty Hamilton
Ty Hamilton in the 129th overall pick is fair value, right on his grade. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick136 Rnd4 Hollin Pierce
They paid sticker price for Hollin Pierce in the Round 4 slot, and that is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick210 Rnd6 Isaac TeSlaa
They reached into another round for Isaac TeSlaa, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick212 Rnd6 Oronde Gadsden II
Oronde Gadsden II slid further than he should have, and No. 212 is lovely value for the tight end. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick243 Rnd7 Phil Mafah
A quiet steal in the 243rd pick: Phil Mafah for less than the market said. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
