Jaydin2010 DRAFTING FOR THEDolphins
Draft Selections
Draft Grade — Dolphins
Overall
B-
ValueB-

FutureB-
The Dolphins finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a B-. The Dolphins spent the pick that matters most on LaNorris Sellers, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. More right than wrong, and a B- to match.
They banked enough surplus on Kilgore to cover a lot of smaller sins. Every board in the league had Baker lower, and that gap is the story. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through edge rusher.
Job largely done: quarterback settled and 5 of 8 of the wish list covered.
A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
Pick Analysis
Pick15
Rnd1
LaNorris Sellers
In the Round 1 slot they get the arm they will build around, reach and all. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick47
Rnd2
Samuel Omosigho
A tidy bit of business in the 47th overall pick, where Samuel Omosigho graded well above the range. It adds depth where they could use a little.
Pick79
Rnd3
Daevin Hobbs
By-the-book stuff, Daevin Hobbs at pick 79 squarely in line with his ranking. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick115
Rnd4
Kenyon Sadiq
Nice patience on Kenyon Sadiq, who had no business lasting to pick No. 115. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick154
Rnd5
Tosh Baker
They went early on Tosh Baker in Round 5, Pick 16, and the value did not follow. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick193
Rnd6
Jalon Kilgore
Jalon Kilgore at the 193rd pick is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick228
Rnd7
Raymond Cottrell
No edge and no loss on Raymond Cottrell in No. 228; it is a wash and a sensible one. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
