Draft Grade — Cardinals
Overall
B
ValueB
NeedB+
TradesB-
FutureB-
The Cardinals did the meat-and-potatoes work well: B. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Cardinals did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to quarterback, which was the need that mattered most. More right than wrong, and a B to match.
However the rest shakes out, Milum at that price is a win they earned. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick16
Rnd1
Shemar Stewart
In No. 16 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick47
Rnd2
Wyatt Milum
Wyatt Milum at pick 47 is the sort of value that quietly wins a weekend. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
Pick78
Rnd3
Chris Paul Jr.
No edge and no loss on Chris Paul Jr. in Round 3, Pick 14; it is a wash and a sensible one. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
