The tape said wait; the Broncos did not. Thomas Collins went at pick 251, a good 61 picks before the board was ready. It nets out to a B-, which feels about right.

That is a quarterback worth more than the slot they spent on him, plainly. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. Job largely done: linebacker settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Almost all the early capital went to that side of the ball.
