The Dolphins spent the weekend waiting on one name, and it fell: Jadan Baugh, the No. 35 name on the board, in the Round 3 slot.

The dealing alone would carry a lesser class. The Dolphins paired the rookies with proven help, Chau Smith-Wade leading the way. It is a bet on later, and a defensible one for a team playing the long game.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with quarterback chief among the fixes.
