Ransom should have been long gone. The Jets pounced, and earned a B-.

Somebody in pick 130 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Jets sat still while Lathan Ransom, the No. 103 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it. They are betting Buchanan proves the room right and everyone else wrong. Job largely done: safety settled and 4 of 8 of the wish list covered.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
