Draft Grade — Browns
Overall C-
ValueD+ NeedB TradesF FutureA+
A costly weekend of dealing drags the Browns to a C-.

You can hear the double-takes from here. The Browns took Aaron Graves at the Round 2 slot, roughly 36 spots before his name belonged. Some smart calls, some head-scratchers, and a C- in the wash.

On value alone, Lee makes the weekend a net positive. The trades bled value they could not afford to lose. The quarterback hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

Not a disaster, not a triumph, just a middling class.

Pick Analysis
Pick10 Rnd1 Gennings Dunker
In the Round 1 slot they get a plug-and-play piece up front, though the board says they badly overpaid. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick15 Rnd1 Max Klare
A wild overpay on Max Klare in pick 15, the sort that defines a class for the wrong reasons. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick47 Rnd2 Aaron Graves
They reached into another round for Aaron Graves, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. It fills a real need, too.
Pick66 Rnd3 Mansoor Delane
A conviction pick on Mansoor Delane at Round 3, Pick 2 that the board grades a round light. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick96 Rnd3 Chase Bisontis
They paid a round early for Chase Bisontis in the 96th overall pick, more than the board wanted. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick126 Rnd4 Desmond Reid
Desmond Reid in slot 126 is a reach so steep the board needed a second look to believe it. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick141 Rnd5 Tree Babalade
They jumped the gun on Tree Babalade, taking him earlier than his grade liked. The roster fit checks out.
Pick194 Rnd6 Brandon Inniss
A reasonable price with a little left over, Brandon Inniss in the 194th pick. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick208 Rnd6 James Williams
A big swing on James Williams at Round 6, Pick 32, well ahead of any board in the building. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick215 Rnd6 Isaiah Augustave
Isaiah Augustave at No. 215 is an overdraft of the loud, memorable kind. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick224 Rnd7 Kayin Lee
A cornerback of that caliber at slot 224 is the definition of value, full stop. The biggest hole on the depth chart just got a whole lot smaller.
