If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bears would have aced it. Landon Jackson at the 186th pick is 34 spots clear of where he belonged. They moved the roster forward and banked a B+ for it.

Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. On value alone, Smith makes the weekend a net positive. They will regret leaving running back for another day if the season turns on it.
