The Bears answered their biggest question with Williams. Grade: D.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Maason Smith, 36 picks early at the 74th overall pick. Too much went sideways, and the D is the honest tally.

Overpaying at the table undid a lot of the good work elsewhere. The whole projection now runs through Caleb Williams; hit there and everything else looks smarter. A whole weekend of picks and running back is somehow still a want.

The Harden pick is the one they will point to when this weekend is judged.

A rough weekend that leaves the roster with more questions than answers.
