For all the boxes ticked, the Buccaneers skipped the loudest one: offensive lineman is exactly as bare as it was.

They will need Hartman to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. The roster is better shaped than it was, with interior defensive lineman chief among the fixes.

Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work. Their trades came out a wash either way.
