The 49ers let Stutsman fall and pounced. Final grade: B-.

Call it larceny. Danny Stutsman sat on the board until the Round 4 slot, and the 49ers did not need to be asked twice. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B-.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The Turner reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade. Offensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

They reloaded the coverage unit in bulk.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.

Somehow Danny Stutsman was still sitting there in pick 113, and they pounced on premier linebacker value. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick138 Rnd4 Jordan James
Jordan James at the 138th pick is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
