You could see the war room lean forward. Kyle McCord at pick 145 is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

For all the activity, cornerback went untouched, which is hard to explain. On the needs board they went 4 of 8, with quarterback the one that mattered most. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.
